Shadow Warrior is without a doubt a big, dumb thrill ride. Corporations rule every facet of life in a near-future Japan and employ Shadow Warriors, one-man armies of unparalleled skill, to protect their power and forcefully remove all opposition. Was very surprised when I got this game just how enjoyable it is.The definitive version of the cult classic shooter, Shadow Warrior Classic Redux features remastered visuals and two massive expansion packs. Slashing through hordes of demons, watching their head and limbs fly. And the fighting with katana is just pure fun. Weapons do feel different from each other and it makes sense using different ones on different situations.
The story is acceptable - nothing fancy - but nothing fancy is needed. Combined with amazing katana fighting system I could not recommend this game more. The graphics is good, voice acting up to standard and as a shooter this game is awesome. It's a little bit of Duke Nukem (original one) humor combined with great gameplay. However this game is great! It's almost perfect for what it tries to be. And I never heard of it as well which is strange. Shadow Warrior 2 is the stunning evolution of Flying Wild Hog’s offbeat first-person shooter starring the brash warrior Lo Wang, who must again wield a devastating combination of guns, blades, magic and wit to strike down the demonic legions overwhelming the world. I have never played the original shadow warrior though I was raised in a Duke Nukem era. And I never heard of it as well which is strange.
